April 2012

I've been MIA so here's a recap
  • Finally picked up Yuna’s album & The Black Keys’ “El Camino album” - both great
  • Went to Boston.
  • Found a Venezuelan restaurant! My people fed me well.
  • Went to Skyzone - a place full of trampolines wall to wall. I died on the floor.
  • Saw Fela! - it was fantastic, go see it.
  • Watched “Incredibly Loud & Extremely Close”; pulled on my heart strings.
  • I tried some “natural relaxation” Marley drink that knocked me out.
  • Went to Dave & Buster’s for the 1st time. It’s like Chuck E. Cheese on x.
  • NBA Playoffs are already pissing me off.
  • Saw the beginning stages of the Brooklyn Nets madness today.
  • I’ve got a finals this week & million things to do.

That’s basically what’s been going on with me lately. Wanted to write more in depth about some of these things but eh, the moments have passed.

I’ll be back to flooding your dashboards when I have time.

:)

After all these years of wishing I could marry into the Marley family, I found out there’s (at least) 2 grandsons my age.

Obviously, I have no realistic chance of becoming a Marley.

But now that I know there’s some baby Marleys my age, I can dream about it lmao

judge me.

Still trying to figure out WTF I'm doing with my life.

People always say to make sure you love what you do. No matter how stupid the career choice may seem to others, make sure you love it. Right? Ok so as some of you may have already realized, I love going to concerts. I’m all about experiencing some really great live music. So I’d like to somehow make that into a profession. When I had to choose a major two years ago the only thing I could think of that was somewhat along those lines was music journalism. In my head/dreams, I picture my boss saying, “[insert artist name here] is doing a show tomorrow night, go and then write about it.” That’s it, that’s my job. But I’ve never been too confident about my writing and the idea of possibly having to one day interview people makes me nauseous.

So I’m just wondering, is there any other way I can turn going to concerts into a career?
